The new deck and bi-fold doors provided a fresh feel to this outdoor entertaining and pool area.

Our client wanted to updated the pool area with a new deck and pergola. Internal renovations opened up the space for entertaining with bi-fold doors and windows installed. In addition to this, an existing rumpus room was converted into a garage.

 

Pool Area Renovations:

To start the pool area renovations, we removed the existing Corinthian columns and replaced them with 112×112 mm Losp timber posts. We removed the existing pergola and replaced it with a new fly-over pergola, covered with Laserlite 2000 roof sheets. We updated the pool pump storage area by installing timber doors and applying an acrylic render. In addition to this we constructed a roof structure to pool pump storage. The new look pool pump storage is modern and stylish and compliments the house.

Deck to Pool:

A flowing deck surrounding the pool offers an ideal environment to relax and entertain while watching swimmers. For this client, we built a treated pine deck complete with enclosed steps to the pool area. The deck surrounding the pool has turned an unused area into a functional, stylish addition to the home.

 

Open Entertaining Areas

In creating an open, easy to entertain home, our client chose to install bi-fold doors, windows and stacker doors along with a new front door to modernise the house. We installed a 1200 mm wide front door, then removed the back windows and doors. To install the bi-fold doors, we started by installing a structural timber beam to ensure the structural integrity of the house remained while we open the space up. The aluminium bi-fold door was installed in the living room and allows the clients to open the living room to the outdoor entertaining area with ease. In addition to this, we also installed a stacker door and bi-fold window.

Convert unused space into a garage

To gain practical storage along with a secure car garage, our client chose to convert their existing rumpus room to a double garage. North Shore Creative Constructions took care of all the building work to get the room ready to be a garage. We then worked together with Bax Doors and organised for them to install the garage door.
