Converting Part of a Home into a Working Office Parramatta

After recently having a baby, Larissa Collins decided to convert part of her home into a working office.

Having founded Parramatta Speech pathology over 6 years ago, Larissa enjoys being able to help children with developmental delays and disabilities.  To create a better work/life balance, Larissa spoke to North Shore Creative Constructions about converting part of her home into a practice. Suitable both for her clients; while maintaining privacy for her family.

The building renovation transformed the front lounge area into 2 work rooms. This would provide space for clients to congregate while waiting, and for Larissa to practice pathology at the same time.

North Shore Creative Constructions chose to use Pivot doors from Sydney Woodworkers to create stylish and practical entry doors to the practice rooms. We closed off the kitchen area with a SWW swinging Zebra door with fixed slump glass as side panels. This created a boundary and gave any family members within the kitchen privacy.

Converting part of a home into a working office is a great option for businesses looking to balance family and work life. You can also save by not having to rent additional space. In addition it can be financially advantageous with tax benefits for power, water etc.
